FAQ's

I want to register more than 1 person..is that possible?

Yes, you can register multiple people per transaction. You can also enter a family which provides registration for 2 adults and 2 children.

What time should I arrive on the day?

The event will officially open at 5.30pm. The walk/run will set off at 6pm. Our village will be open until 10pm, so stick around and enjoy wintery treats from our local vendors.

Is the event timed?

No, this event is all about brightening up the winter night and enjoying the fresh air. 

Will water be provided?

Water will be available for you to top up your water bottles at the finish. Please bring enough water with you for the route.

What happens if I need assistance during the event?

St John Ambulance will be providing medical support on this event. Please ensure you pay close attention to the safety briefing which will be made at the start line before the event. The briefing will detail event specific details on how to obtain medical assistance on each route should it be required.

The route will be marshalled and event staff will be able to assist you along the way. A full briefing will be provided at the start of the event.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes, we have some fantastic local vendors who will be attending the finish village. A hot drink will be provided to participants at the end of the event. Spectators and participants will be able to purchase food and drink from vendors on site. 

This is my first event, how do I get prepared for it?

Being a park walk event, it should be achievable for most levels of fitness. You can either run or walk or jog parts. Take your time and soak up the event atmosphere! 

Are children allowed on the walk/run?

Yes, all ages are welcome! We are sticking to the paths around Hagley Park so it is pushchair friendly. Children under 5 are free. 

Can we bring the dog?

Please do! Just make sure your dog will be ok around plenty of people, children and other dogs. Please also make sure that your dog has plenty of water during the route. Dog bowls with water will be available at the finish village. All dogs must be registered with council and must display their council registration tag. Please make sure these details are up to date prior to attending in case any dogs wander off and we need to locate their humans.
